Suddenly, my Macbook Pro (mid 2012) started to freezing every 2 minutes, and was impossible to work on it. I found a post on a Mac forum suggesting that the issue could be caused by a fail in the hard disk cable. So I ordered the cable from iFixit, and I replaced it. The issue was solved, and now the computer is running smoothly.

  1. Hey I have the same macbook, I have tried everything and think this could be the issue as it is clear it's a hardware issue, do you know what the cable is called/where I could buy one in the UK. My MacBook is a MacBook pro mid 2012. Ps it is not freezing completely too often but the main issue is that it is running extremely slow
