Did you ever wake up to realise that the words, “Use iTunes to restore” appear on your iPod screen? Well you can now restore your iPod when that message appears.

Step 1: Turn on iPod and wait until the “Use iTunes to restore” message appears.

Step 2: Plug in your iPod 30-pin connector to your iPod and to your computer.

Step 3: Restore iPod via iTunes by clicking on the “Restore” button.

Your iPod will automatically restore.

Do not interrupt the restore process whatsoever. You will regret it.

  1. This happens to me. I plug the ipod into electrical outlet & it goes to a normal screen and plays just fine. No restore is necessary. Any idea what is wrong with my ipod and why I get this same message?

  2. I restored as in the video but after restoring my ipod doesn't show up on itunes at all. And on Windows Explorer it has changed from 'my ipod' to 'USB device'. When I connect it to the PC everything freezes up, even webpages won't open unless I disconnect it. I think it's a lost cause.

  3. Hey im kinda having a little problem also my i got the same ipod it seems it only turns on when it's connected even when fully charged…the after i disconnect it it turns off…
